Panto producers are looking for children who love to sing and dance to perform alongside professional actors in Mother Goose at Derby Arena.

The mini-stars must have talent, energy and personality if they are going to be successful at auditions for the junior ensemble on June 16.

Auditions will be open to boys and girls aged 9 to 16 who can act, sing, and dance, although previous theatre experience is not essential.

Applicants will need to register online, and will be given the details of the session for their age group. Each session lasts about three hours. There is no need to prepare anything in advance. Every child will get to showcase their acting, dancing and singing skills, whilst having lots of fun.

The auditions will be held at Derby Arena. Those who are 16 years old will still need to be in year 9 at the time of the performances.

Successful candidates will rehearse from November 16 to December 7 and the panto will be performed from December 9 to 31, 2023.

Morgan Brind, winner of the 2022 UK Pantomime Association Awards Best Dame, returns to the Derby stage to perform in Mother Goose.
