SIR — On Saturday, June 21, with friends Jenny Fields and Chrissy Moakes, I joined around 1,200 ladies on the Midsummer Midnight Walk for Ashgate Hospice.
It was our first half-marathon and a truly fantastic experience.

We would like to express thanks to the organisers and all volunteers for their hard work and help to make such a wonderful event so enjoyable for us all.

Although we were last to finish, all the support was still there, leading us to our bacon sandwich!

Thank you all.

VAL BASSETT,
28 Amber Crescent
Walton
Chesterfield.
